Me: *gets on bus* omg everyone is watching me and judging me and they're going to laugh when the bus starts and im not sitting down, omg dont put your ticket in the wrong way or everyone will judge you and laugh at you.
Me: *goes to pay for shopping* omg what if I dont have enough money? *counts money out 20 times* what if I look stupid, or say the wrong thing? am I standing in the right spot even? What if someone else wants to get past and im in the way, omg.
Me: *says hey to someone online* omg, they arent replying, holy shit why am I so annoying? what if they tell their friends how annoying and lame I am? Why am I like this, holy shit.
Me: *meets someone new* What if they dont like me and dont want me to be around, I shouldnt have met them, im going to be a burden, they're probably critisizing me right now, why am I the way I am?

Psychopath vs Sociopath

Psychopathy and sociopathy are considered interchangeable terms. Psychopathy is the standard in academic research, although some researchers tend to use “sociopath” when an individual’s behavior is largely driven by environmental conditions. Antisocial personality disorder has much more limited criteria for diagnosis and is included in the DSM-V, whereas psychopathic personality disorder is not an included disorder, largely due to wide variations in its conceptualization (e.g., whether antisocial behavior is a necessary component or rather a consequence of the core personality features). Psychopaths (and thereby sociopaths because they are the SAME) do tend to lack empathy, engage in highly impulsive behaviors and have shallow, parasitic, and promiscuous relationships. They are generally superficially charming, manipulative, and lie with impunity. Psychopaths are quite heterogeneous in their deviant behaviors and may engage in both instrumental or reactive aggression as well as calculated or spontaneous criminal behavior. The better distinction would be between primary and secondary psychopathy: the former exhibit more a cold, callous lack of empathy or emotion whereas the latter tend to be anxious, erratic and generally emotionally dysregulated (similar to BPD). NOT ALL PSYCHOPATHS ARE VIOLENT. In fact, the bulk of the predictive validity of psychopathy in terms of future dangerousness comes from whether or not they committed antisocial acts in the past. Interpersonal and affective features have no significant correlation with violence in psychopaths. Many psychopaths are actually quite successful members of society who channel their impulses into non-violent albeit destructive behaviors (see M.E. Thomas’ new book: Confessions of a Sociopath). Please do not spread false bullshit like this around because guess what: some of you will become actual jurors someday and may hold someone’s life in your hands and decide that they deserve death because they have been labeled a psychopath, incorrectly assuming this indicates future dangerousness and inability to change.
